There are attenuators for the sound input and the sound output. The red button is to record, the black button is to play a soundfile. The dial under these buttons determines the time of the record, shorter time obviously gives better sound quality.

There is a switch to choose the internal trigger (black button) or an external Gate. And there is a Control Voltage input to play the sample in different pitches.
